Following a good nutrition plan is essential to getting the results you desire. If you aren’t getting the results you want, nutrition will be your missing link.

My qualifications are different than most nutritionists and dieticians, while they are generally trained in all things nutrition, I have the same foundation with a specific focus on sport and exercise, fat loss and body composition. I also have a background in motivational psychology, which is a big help in supporting clients to make and stick to changes.

I offer personalised nutrition plans that take into account your unique needs and situation. We start simple with the smallest changes that will give us the biggest results. If you’ve been eating well for some time, and want to take your nutrition to the next level, I can help with that too.

TIP: What to eat before you exercise

Fuel up your body before a work out to get the best out of your exercise sessions. Eat about half an hour pre-activity so your body can process the food and turn it into energy. This will fire up those muscles and let you go hard in your work out. No food in the tank usually means less effort going into your session, a longer recovery time and slower to reap the benefits.

Simple is best. You don't need to consume a large amount of food, just enough to give your body a boost. Choose from healthy, unprocessed foods. A banana is a powerhouse of good energy, or try rolled oats with a handful of berries and milk. If you're stretched for time or caught without your prepped food, drink a cup of strong, black coffee. Let me know your favourite pre-work out snacks on my Facebook page. Happy training!

Testimonials

"I've been training with Paula two days a week for roughly two years. My goal and focus when I started with her was to compete in a body building competition.  Looking back now, I can easily say I've gained so much more out of it than achieving my goal.

I've improved my posture, total wellbeing and fitness, learnt so much about technique when using equipment, healthy eating, the way the body works and builds muscle, the list goes on and on.
But, most importantly for me has been the impact that working with Paula has had on my mental health. Looking after yourself and putting yourself first is so important.

If you are thinking of getting in shape, have a goal you want to achieve or you're looking at improving your well being in anyway, whether it be nutrition, fitness, or mental health, then you should definitely contact Paula. She's a true gem."

"Paula is definitely a master of her craft and a wealth of health and fitness knowledge, which she's only too happy to share in your own personal fitness goals.

She's definitely the real deal and is the standard by which all other personal trainers should be measured."
